Cookie
A cookie is a small text file stored on your hard drive that is commonly used by websites to save user preferences, monitor website traffic volume and improve users' Web experience. Log jump uses cookies to display your saved preferences without requiring you to log in on each visit.
Universal Form
A universal form gathers information from a single location and sends it to any one of several available destinations. For example, Log jump's Web Search form allows users to enter keywords into a single textfield and search the Internet using their choice of popular search engines.
"Universal Form" is an Internet term coined by Log jump in 2006.
Web Portal
A web portal is a website that gathers and organizes data, links and content from other Internet sites and offers it as a service to Internet users. Log jump can be loosely described as a website that allows its members to create their own web portals.
